APPLICATION NOTES / KITCHEN
A kitchen, in the details.
The kitchen worktop is where a drawing meets daily life. Start with the way you cook, gather and move through the room.

Begin with the whole plan.
For a sintered-stone countertop, mark the lengths of each run, the island outline, sink and appliance positions, and any wall return or splashback. If you are early in the design, approximate dimensions are useful; final fabrication should follow checked measurements and the selected product’s technical guidance.
Let the pattern travel deliberately.
Decide where the eye should settle: along an island, behind a sink or across a longer run. Review the complete slab layout before choosing the position of cuts and joints. A patterned face does not automatically continue through a cut edge, and a photographed corner does not establish how a specific product can be fabricated.
Resolve the edge and support together.
Bring your preferred edge appearance to the fabricator alongside the exact material and thickness. Ask how the countertop will be supported, how openings will be detailed and how the proposed overhang will be resolved. Those details belong to the selected slab and construction system, not to a universal sintered-stone rule.
Compare more than the material price.
A useful comparison separates the slab, templating, cutting and edge work, delivery, installation and any supporting work. Ask what is included and which measurements or drawings are still needed. A broad price per square metre cannot describe every finished kitchen.
Your kitchen brief.
Share your location, a plan or sketch, intended sink and appliance positions, preferred edge appearance and two or three material references. Tell us whether you need material for a local fabricator or want to discuss a processed piece. Supply and fabrication scope are confirmed for the individual enquiry.

A surface begins with a material. The choice becomes personal when you consider the room, the light and the way you will use it.
